[up dem]Directions to the Teaching Lab

The GIS Teaching Lab is in room 139 of the U.J. Noblet Forestry & Wood Products Building on the Michigan Tech Campus.

From the east/south (Marquette, Baraga): Follow U.S. 41 North to Houghton. There is a stop light shortly after you enter campus at the corner of U.S. 41 and Macinnes Drive. Turn left at the light. Take the first right onto Seventh Avenue. The Forestry building will now be on your left. Turn left into our parking lot (just past Horner Hall, the wing of the building closest to Seventh Avenue).

From the west/south (Ironwood, Ontonagon): Follow M-26 into Houghton. Turn right onto Sharon Avenue. There is a stop light at the intersection of M-26 and Sharon; Pizza Hut will be on your right and a Perkins and Econo Foods on your left. Follow Sharon Avenue for quite a while (you will pass a blinking light and an intersection with a stop sign) until the MTU baseball fields are on your right. Turn left onto Garnet Street and proceed to Seventh Avenue (the first stop sign). Turn Right onto Seventh Avenue and take the first right into the Forestry parking lot (5-6 blocks down Seventh).

Parking

You will likely get a ticket if you park in a university lot without a guest permit. See your instructor for one. Long-term (all day) parking is also available in Lot 27 near the Administration Building on Townsend Drive (US-41).
